I thought I'd be smart by getting all of my ingredients ready to go
before I even fired up the dutch oven, but when I make this again I
will wait until the last minute to mix the cornbread batter. The
longer it sits, the thicker it gets, and it can be hard to spread over
the meat/bean mixture.
